As its title implies, “Sugar Rush Ride,” a brand new track by K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together (TXT), is a three-minute sugar rush weaving collectively the weather of two totally different genres – “pansori” (conventional Korean musical storytelling) and fairy tales. The quintet, consisting of Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai, employed some strains from “Chunhyangga,” one of many 5 surviving conventional pansori narrative varieties.
