The Decameron is coming to Netflix. The streaming service ordered the soapy interval drama set in 1348. Eight episodes have been ordered of the collection that appears at class techniques and energy struggles throughout a pandemic.

Netflix revealed the next concerning the plot of the collection:

Netflix in the present day introduced a collection order for The Decameron below Jenji Kohan’s total deal. The soapy interval drama goals to look at the well timed themes of sophistication techniques, energy struggles and survival in a time of pandemic with a contact of levity, introduced collectively by a captivating and riotous ensemble of characters.

Logline: In 1348, the Black Death strikes arduous within the metropolis of Florence. A handful of nobles are invited to retreat with their servants to a grand villa within the Italian countryside and wait out the pestilence with a lavish vacation. But as social guidelines put on skinny, what begins as a wine-soaked intercourse romp within the hills of Tuscany descends into an all out scramble for survival.

Kathleen Jordan, the creator of the collection, stated the next about The Decameron:

“I’m absolutely thrilled that I get to work with Jenji, Tara, Blake, and Netflix again. I can’t wait for people to meet this ridiculous group of characters. I’m sure Giovanni Boccaccio would be… confused?”

A premiere date might be introduced later by Netflix.
