The National Hockey League has given groups steerage and wage cap estimates for the following three seasons, sources confirmed to The Athletic. Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman and Rory Boylen were the first to report that groups obtained wage cap steerage and estimates.

At the NHL participant tour, deputy commissioner Bill Daly told The Athletic that the wage cap would doubtless enhance by $1 million in the summertime of 2023, with a tied cap beginning in 2024.

“I would say we exceeded our expectations this year on revenue,” Daly mentioned. “And even our forecast, which is completed pretty late within the season, we exceeded fairly dramatically.
