Javed Akhtar has reacted with livid phrases to Gujarat authorities’s resolution to release 11 convicts within the case referring to Bilkis Bano gang-rape and homicide of her kin case throughout the 2002 riots within the state. Javed, an acclaimed lyricist, took to Twitter to share his opinion on the matter.

“Those who raped a 5 month pregnant woman after killing 7 of her family including her 3 year old daughter were set free from the jail offered sweets and were garlanded . Don’t hide behind whatabouts. Think!! Some thing is seriously going wrong with our society,” Javed wrote in his tweet.

The Gujarat authorities launched the 11 convicts after the Supreme Court directed it to contemplate their plea for aid underneath the state’s 1992 remission coverage.
