Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: Old Man Whittier is one more sturdy entry for Hellboy as a restricted or single-issue enterprise. In this case, it is Gabriel Hernández Walta‘s flip on the plate for a single-issue story. It is a haunted home story that apparently ties right into a twelve-year-old storyline originally serialized in USA Today.

The cowl to Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: Old Man Whittier

The story about this one shot is similar as the opposite self-contained stories: The artists are top-notch, and the tales are at all times proper for them. It’s a power of the format and the A&R facet of the Hellboy universe. There’s at all times a nook of this universe that matches whoever accepts the job. Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: Old Man Whittier is not any completely different. Dave Stewart‘s coloring Walta’s work makes it look much like Dani. It reads like Stewart has a light-weight contact on Walta’s pencils, which permits the reader to concentrate on Walta’s glorious draftsmanship. Their collaboration on these pages, unsurprisingly, appears implausible.

Dark Horse hosts a five-page preview of Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: Old Man Whittier here. Jude first lined Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: Old Man Whittier back in March 2022.

Trouble runs within the Whittier household! When Catherine Whittier learns she’s inherited the household dwelling, she is aware of higher than to return alone, and Hellboy’s expertise with the household (in Hellboy: The Whittier Legacy) makes him the proper one to ensure any unkind spirits are at relaxation.  Because in a home with a historical past like this, “plot” can imply greater than only a household graveyard.
Hellboy creator Mike Mignola is joined by artist Gabriel Hernández Walta to convey readers a terrifying new one-shot within the dwelling of the notorious Whittier household!

* Self-contained story within the profitable Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. line.
“What I love about these little adventures is how Mignola is able to give us a full story that lives beyond the pages of the book itself.” -Fanbase Press
