In an interview with sport information web site 4Gamer printed on Saturday, Fatal Frame collection creator Keisuke Kikuchi confirmed {that a} Fatal Frame movie mission remains to be in growth abroad.

Tecmo‘s (later KOEI Tecmo) horror sport franchise Fatal Frame (referred to as Zero in Japan and Project Zero in Europe) beforehand inspired a live-action movie that opened in Japan in September 2014. The franchise‘s workers had initially introduced a Hollywood movie adaptation in 2003, and later confirmed in 2014 that the movie was nonetheless deliberate. The sport franchise debuted in 2001.

Film director Christophe Gans said in February 2020 that he’s engaged on a Fatal Frame movie, along with a Silent Hill movie. In that interview, Gans mentioned that the Fatal Frame movie will likely be set in Japan.

The Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water game for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC will launch on October 28. The sport will likely be an enhanced model of the 2014 Wii U release.
