Dylan McDermott is making the bounce from Law & Order Organized Crime to FBI: Most Wanted, and whereas each reveals are from legendary producer Dick Wolf, the characters couldn’t be extra totally different.
However, McDermott has been taking part in the villainous Richard Wheatley for 2 seasons on Law & Order: Organized Crime, and let’s simply say followers have many ideas in regards to the character.
McDermott make clear the massive swap from taking part in a nasty man to an excellent man throughout a latest press convention for FBI: Most Wanted.
“I think it’s really interesting. I’ve been reading comments online and people are saying, ‘It’s too soon. He’s Richard Wheatley, a bad guy.’ I relish in that because it’s amazing that people believe that I’m the character I’m playing,” he shared, in line with Deadline.
“Now they’re going to see me in a completely different light, going from Richard Wheatley to Remy Scott, two wildly different people with wildly different agendas in life.”
“I knew instinctively that I had played some questionable people along the way and now it’s time to play someone good again. Remy Scott is that character.”
Executive producer David Hudgins added: “From a author’s standpoint and a creating the present standpoint, it was not a priority as a result of we had an concept of this character conceptually early on and it simply expanded even additional when Dylan got here onboard.”
“The idea was this guy is going to have some energy and some lightness and some ability to connect with people.”
“Which I do assume is one among his greatest property. So I wasn’t involved in regards to the Richard Wheatley of all of it.”
The excellent news is that followers of FBI: Most Wanted shall be thrown straight into the deep finish with Remy.
“I feel like we really hit the ground running in the first episode,” McDermott teased.
“I feel that as a result of these individuals are professionals, they’re brokers, they know we’ve a job to do.”
“Yes, perhaps they’ve emotions, actually about who I’m and the place I got here from. But I feel that awkwardness actually diminishes after the primary episode.”
