Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers have come to phrases on a settlement settlement for the grievance Simmons filed to recoup a portion of practically $20 million of his wage, a league supply confirmed to The Athletic on Monday. ESPN first reported the information.

The 76ers withheld the cash from Simmons on account of his failure to play video games throughout the 2021-2022 season.

Simmons, 26, didn’t play for Philadelphia in any respect final season attributable to a lingering back issue and mental health struggles. The 2018 NBA Rookie of the Year was then traded to the Brooklyn Nets on Feb. 10 in a blockbuster trade that despatched James Harden to the 76ers. Simmons didn’t swimsuit up for the Nets for the rest of the common and postseason.

Once Simmons was settled in Brooklyn, he filed a grievance in April to recoup the cash that the 76ers withheld from him since he didn’t play.
